Importing your accounts and contacts

Bring your existing customers, prospects, and contacts into Vavan from a file.

If your data lives in a spreadsheet or an export from another tool, you can bring it into Vavan with an import. Start from the accounts area, choose to import, and upload a CSV. Vavan walks you through mapping your columns to the fields it understands — company name, address, contacts, and any other details you track.

During import, Vavan normalizes and de-duplicates your records so you don't end up with the same account listed twice. When a row looks like an existing account, it is matched and updated rather than duplicated, which keeps your workspace clean as you bring in data from several sources over time.

Contacts can be imported alongside accounts or on their own. When you include a company reference on a contact row, Vavan links the person to the right account automatically so your relationships stay intact.

If you would rather not maintain a manual import, connecting a live system is usually the better path — see the Integrations category. An import is ideal for a one-time migration or for data that doesn't live in a connected system.
